What They Had To Say About Their Wedding
We reached out to Kristi and Tyler about their wedding asking them some questions to help other couples planning their own wedding. They gave some great answers that we hope will help you when making decisions about your big day.
Tell us a little bit about your vision for the day. Did everything turn out the way you expected?
Our vision for the day was to be a celebration of officially committing to each other in a way that included all of the people that have supported us through our relationship. Everyone being together as much as possible was a priority and the reason we wanted to do first looks and have our bridal party be together with us for most of the day and not just after the ceremony. Being outside for the ceremony and pictures was another big thing we wanted as we both enjoy being outside and that is a big part of our relationship.
What was the most important thing for you in planning your wedding day?
We wanted the day to be laid back and not stressful or focused on a lot of small details. Truly focused on us getting married and not a one day event.
What were some of the challenges you faced in planning and what things seemed to come together perfectly?
The biggest challenge we faced was living in a different state than the one we were getting married in! We booked our venue by only seeing it via FaceTime and most of our vendors we only met once or not at all before the wedding day. We were super lucky to work with great people and had no issues day of with the venue or any of the vendors we booked. One funny last minute thing was that we found out there was no Uber in Catawba Island two days before the wedding and at the last minute needed to find guest transportation. Again, we were super lucky and were able to find a company with availability.
What made you decide to work with us?
We saw your work on Instagram and read through great reviews and after meeting with Claire knew it was a great match! Day of working with Swatch was great and all of the photos we received back we loved. Also communication leading up to and post wedding day was fantastic.
