I can't believe it's already been three years. It's been three years since Brooks & I have started dating. Three years since we took our first road trip to Maryland to photograph our first wedding together. Three years of combining our knowledge, creativity and love for photography to create Swatch Studios. And now....one year until we say I do!
With about 100 weddings under our belts, you could say that we live, eat, breathe, and dream 'Weddings'. Everything from the bridesmaids dresses to the grooms ring, the best man's speech to the handcrafted centerpieces at the reception. We know a thing or two about planning the timeline of the day and we give some pretty knowledgable advice (like, if you're going to do a receiving line, be sure to take off your veil or you will have 150+ people yanking it out).
Having our experience and know-how, we thought, why keep it to ourselves!? All of our tips, suggestions, ideas and examples could be a great resource for other wonderful brides & grooms who are going through the same planning process that we are! Not to mention, it doesn't stop at the last dance at your reception. Married life is an adventure in itself. We will continue to share our resources as we learn new things together (like honeymoon do's & donts, frugal fashion, the best dog for you....).
Starting this month, we will be posting blogs every couple of weeks discussing a different topic. We will talk about engagement rings and wedding bands, style tips, wedding food & drinks, flowers, and everything about Swatch Studios. In the meantime, head over to our website to read more about Brooks & I and to check out our wedding & engagement galleries.
We invite you to follow us along our journey as we learn more and more about all things wedding. Feel free to give us your input and ideas! We would love to hear what other future brides & grooms, newlyweds, or experienced husbands & wives have to say. Please comment below to ask us questions or ask about a topic you'd like to get our perspective on. Every once in a while, we might even throw some adorable photos of our puppy, Winston!
